Hi, I’m Reese
Reese is an affectionate, smart and gentle boy who will be looking for a calm and quiet home with structure and routine. He'll need to be allowed indoors to be a part of the family. Reese can be nervous by new people and environments. It is important to go slow, let him approach you. No fast movements. Recommend hand feeding to help create a bond. Once Reese is comfortable he can be quite social and affectionate. He enjoys climbing into your lap for some gentle pats. Reese may do well with crate training as it can provide him with a place to go when he is feeling worried or overwhelmed. He has shown a little bit of interest in toys, did run to seek a soft squeaky toy out but didn't engage. Once settled into a home he may start to show his more playful side. Reese loves his food and enjoys some easy enrichment. Recommend using enrichment as a daily activity for him to help keep his mind active. We also recommend no small animals and only older children in the home. Must meet at time of adoption. He can be worried and growly in unfamiliar environments. Kids will need to be dog savvy and understand basic body language.

- A property check may be required before ADOPTION to ensure the safety and welfare of adoption animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties. Differential pricing may apply.
- The website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you have completed the Apply to Adopt form the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party.
- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
