Hi, I'm Skip! 🐾
I'm a sweet, sensitive little soul who's looking for a calm and patient home where I can learn that the world is a safe place. I came into care as a stray with my sibling, and while I'm the most timid of the two, I have a playful side that comes out once I feel secure.

New environments can feel a bit scary for me, so I'll need to start off in a small, quiet area with hard-to-reach spaces and potential escape holes safely blocked off. Taking things slow and giving me time to settle before exploring the rest of the house really helps me build confidence-large open spaces can be overwhelming at first.

I'd thrive in a home filled with cozy comforts like scratch posts, cat trees, and plenty of hides (soft blankets, cardboard boxes, and cat igloos are perfect!). Access to shelves or dressers gives me safe spaces both high and low, which helps me feel relaxed and in control.

I'm looking for a patient and understanding adopter who knows that I may be timid at first and need a little time before my true personality shines. Loud noises and sudden movements can spook me, and if I feel overwhelmed, I may hiss, but calm, gentle handling-like confidence-building burrito sessions-really helps me feel safe. I'd do well in a home with teens who understand basic cat body language and know when to give me space.

I'm cat-social but untested with unfamiliar cats. I've lived happily with my sibling in care, and we love to play and snuggle together. When I'm feeling safe, you'll often find me tucked under a soft blanket-or happily playing with my favorite toys!
