Introducing Elly the Oil Cat!
Elly was taken to a vet clinic after being found heavily pregnant and covered in oil! She was taken to the pound where she gave birth that night!
Elly gave birth to 5 little babies, prematurely due to stress and sadly 2 didn't make it. Elly was in a bad way, skin and bones and very anemic. Try as we might to get the oil off of her we couldn't so the poor girl had to be shaved.
After lots of TLC Elly and her babies are thriving.
Now her 3 surviving kiddos are on the move eating solid foods and running amuck so Elly is ready to find her new forever home.
Not only is Elly an amazing mother but she is a wonderfully affectionate cat. She was so tolerant of the many baths she needed to get the oil off of her.
As Elly was kept in a private room to raise her bubbies but never reacted with hisses when she saw other cats or a dog in her foster home, so given how sweet she is we think, if properly introduced she will be fine with other cats and calm dogs.
Cat savvy kids in the home will be fine for this gorgeous lady.
