Meet Frankie - the oversized cuddle‑comet who's ready to orbit right into your heart!
Frankie is a big, love‑soaked goofball wrapped in a mature dog body with a puppy heart. He adores being glued to his humans, leaning his whole giant self into you for affection, and - yes - trying to sneak onto your bed at night (he can settle if the bedroom door is closed!). He's also a professional couch‑hog, drool‑rag model, and enthusiastic water‑splasher. Frankie can be quite stressed and drooly when first in the home, a drool rag comes in handy for that settling in period.
Frankie is looking for a committed adopter who can give him clear boundaries, consistent training, and lots of impulse control practice. He's bursting with energy, needs help with manners around food, and benefits hugely from routines like crate time, mat training, and enrichment feeding. He may start out as dry kibble mixed with wet food in slow feeder, but once he's comfortable in the home, he will eat through enrichment such as kongs, egg cartons and milk bottles.
He can be worried by loud noises, tight spaces, and new environments, so slow introductions and confidence building will help him shine. Frankie may alarm bark at times and has shown some reactivity behind barriers in shelter, so a quieter home without a lot of footpath traffic will suit him best.
He adjusts slowly to other dogs and should meet any canine family member before adoption; he pairs best with a calm, social doggie who won't mind his pushy greetings.
Frankie is best with older kids (or younger ones experienced with big dogs), simply because he doesn't know how enormous he is and may knock little ones over. He walks with enthusiasm - meaning he pulls! - so harness training will help a lot.

Despite his quirks, this boy has no trouble being left alone, loves toys, thrives with enrichment, and has a giant, snuggly, golden heart ready to love his new family fiercely.
