Woof, I am Howie!
Now, I'm still a young and seriously quite the charmer once you get to know me, but it will take a little bit of time for me to warm up to you. I'm such sweet and loyal boy; once I'm comfortable with you, I'm always by your side! I am however a little bit shy, especially around men - they seem a bit scary to me. I'm still searching for my brave, but I promise to be your faithful friend if you give me a chance. Each day, I'm learning to trust more and love deeply. As the typical Dachshund, I'm quite the vocal boy! I let EVERYONE know I'm here and ready for love! I love to share my feelings to every person and dog that walks past ... I would love to go home to a family with no young children and has experience with my breed, and someone who is willing to give me the time to settle in and find my brave. I've only ever been around my family, so no other dogs would be ideal for me, and a meet and greet is a MUST! I can also be a little mouthy, especially with strangers - they tend to scare me, so bark first, think later. If you're looking for a gentle companion who'll cherish every moment with you, I'm your guy. I'd love for you to come down and meet me!

- A property check may be required before ADOPTION to ensure the safety and welfare of adoption animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties. Differential pricing may apply.

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
